Child’s play brings joy to Ballarat Aged Care residents

We have all heard the saying ‘act your age,’ and may have even had it said to us once or twice, but where is the fun in that? Sometimes all we really need to do is reconnect to the things we loved as children, when we were carefree without responsibilities, when the simplest things brought us the most joy, and when life revolved around play.

High Tea To Celebrate Ballarat Seniors

Tiered cake stands, cucumber sandwiches and Devonshire Teas were on the menu at James Thomas Court in Sebastopol as residents celebrated the Victorian Seniors Festival in style with a grand High Tea.

Ballarat Health Services’ Executive Director of Aged Operations, Jodie Cranham, said the event was one of many held at Ballarat Aged Care during the month of October as part of the Seniors Festival.

LONGEST RESIDENT STILL LOVES W.B. MESSER

If there is one resident who knows the ins and outs of Ballarat Aged Care’s W.B. Messer Hostel it is Sue Devine!

Sue is the only original resident still living in the hostel, having spent the past 22 years calling it home. Following doctors orders, Sue moved into the hostel when she was 48 and has definitely found her new home and made many good friends along the way.
