Geoffrey Cutter Centre, Ballarat Aged Care

Geoffrey Cutter Centre is a 60 bed residential aged care home located in picturesque Ballarat East.

The light-filled, modern home is surrounded by beautiful gardens which can be enjoyed inside and out, with large windows and a number of sunrooms throughout the home. The large open plan living and dining areas provide a place to be with others, as well as smaller spaces for some quiet time. The space also caters for the many social activities that are organised for the residents. The facility benefits from recent, major refurbishment. All resident rooms are air conditioned.

The shared living areas include:
- Large open plan living rooms with flat screen TVs, DVDs and CD players
- Sunrooms for a more intimate setting, that can also be used for private family catch ups
- Spacious activities area for the many social activities that take place each week
- Broadband kiosk enabling residents to access the internet and Skype family and friends (with staff assistance, if required)

Outside, residents and families can enjoy a stroll around the gardens and the serenity of the water features along the way. There is also a pergola area, which is equipped with a gas BBQ and outdoor dining setting. Residents and families can participate in gardening activities with the qualified lifestyle staff.

Geoffrey Cutter Centre offers 14 single rooms, each with its own ensuite, and 23 double rooms with shared ensuites. Our double rooms are perfect for couples and are often enjoyed by individuals who form the closest of bonds and friendships with their ‘room mate’. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space with small furniture items, soft furnishings, photographs and mementos from home to make their room their own. Geoffrey Cutter Centre also provides a secure, dementia specific service for a limited number of residents.

All rooms include
- Built in wardrobes
- Electric, height adjustable bed (sensor mats available where required)
- Telephone line available
- TV antenna
- Nurse call bell (bedside and bathroom)
