With over 150 years of experience, Ballarat Aged Care offers all levels of dementia and cognitive impairment care.
We understand that care needs can change and our dementia care is based on an individual, flexible approach to meet the needs of residents. Through our professional, quality care, we empower residents to maintain their independence for as long as possible and offer a diverse and engaging weekly activities program.
“Residents from our dementia specific unit love getting out into the secure garden area to help plant, grow and pick vegetables and flowers. Not only is it a fun sensory activity for them to be involved in, but it is fantastic in assisting with their mobility and socialisation.” - Sherin, Eureka Village
While all our homes offer care for people with varying levels of dementia and cognitive impairment, we do have specialist homes in this area. Bill Crawford Lodge, Geoffrey Cutter Centre and Eureka Village provide specialised care for residents and a registered nurse manages all homes with qualified nurses on staff 24 hours a day. Where care needs are the highest, all care staff are qualified nurses. Being linked to the public health system means seamless care and transition should additional health care services be required.
